What God Is Doing in the Muslim World

A regular feature of our time pastoring in the Middle East was listening to stories told by Muslims who experienced dreams about Jesus. Often Jesus would appear or sometimes speak to them in their dreams. On many occasions people would feel compelled to come to the church compound to seek answers for what they had seen or heard in their dreams. Some would ask: "Do you think I am going crazy?" Some people would be unsure how to describe what they wanted to talk about. An opening question for them would be: "Have you seen the vision of a man in white?"

Muslim leaders have become quite concerned about the number of people who have abandoned Islam and become either agnostic or believers in Jesus. Many of these leaders are now publicly talking about the problem they are facing in Islam.

  • one cleric called for action to avoid an avalanche of Muslims leaving their faith.

  • another stated that 24% of Muslim youth are abandoning their religion

  • another talked about the Muslims in his city in Virginia, USA "leaving in masses".

  • another reported that 2 million Indonesians per year are converting to Christianity. He further stated that if this trend continues in ten years Indonesia will no longer be a Muslim nation. HIs statistics are probably overstated for emphasis or to illicit some actions to halt this trend.

Don't miss the significance that these statements and reports are coming from leaders within Islam who are openly talking about the concerns they have.

Further, did you ever believe that in our day there would be a chance at peace in the Middle East. It was reported, the Qatari and Israeli negotiators hugged each other when they came to an agreement about Gaza.

Truly we are living in amazing times where the prophecies written by Joel are becoming a reality. This is a great time to be alive. This is a great time to be training disciple-makers.
